Me and two of my friends decided we wanted to hike to the top of Ben Lomond, camp out, and then come back then next day. We hiked for a long time up this hill the whole time thinking at the top was the peak, then we get to the top of that hill and see that there is a bigger hill on the other side of it. So we hike up that hill to see that you have another huge climb to get to the peak.
So we get to a little saddle below the peak and set up camp then we hike to the top. It was like we had to hike through hell to get to heaven the view was amazing.
Then we hiked back to camp to find that there was only one bottle of Powerade and half a bottle of water left we weren't sure what to do but we decided that sleeping would solve it. I woke them up and it was so early in the morning that the lights of the city were still on and on the other side of the mountain the sun was rising and the sky was an amazing view. We hiked back and on our way found a spring dripping off this rock so we filled up our water bottles and finished the hike. Its an amazing hike if you are prepared...
